“The Dark Side of the Moon” - Pink Floyd (1973)
This album needs no introduction to any one of my generation, whether you like it or not. Mine was in high school from a new AOR radio station at the time. During a particular summer, I would spend the night at my friend Bobby’s house, his parents had one of those huge record cabinets. We would set up a pallet on the floor in front of it to sleep and listen to the station all night. One of the best things about the AOR format was they would play entire albums or sides of albums at a time. TDSOTM was one of those albums they frequently played this way. And to those of us that love the album, that’s the only way to listen to it. Absolutely mesmerizing.
